As you try to make plans to get your boat into storage or out of storage, consider Chicago Yacht Works’ Captain Delivery Service. Our team of experienced professionals are licensed and insured and care for your vessel like it’s their own.
The Process
We will bring your boat from its slip to the CYW yard for storage and also from the CYW yard back to your slip in the Spring as soon as weather permits. You’ll provide us with the location of the keys on board for the captain. Once the captain arrives at the dock, the following takes place:
- Basic engine check to ensure vessel is capable of passage
- Vessel is neatly secured with proper fenders and lines
- Main battery switches will be turned off
- All canvas and mooring covers will be closed
- Keys to the boat will be turned into the front office
- You will be texted a picture of your boat showing it is safely at the dock
Pricing and Add-on Services
Chicago Harbor General Cost: $11 per foot ($350 minimum)
Additional delivery add-ons include, but are not limited to:
- Fueling: $25 per tank + fuel (and fuel additives if requested)
- Pump out – $25 per tank
- Fresh water tank fill or purge – $25 per tank
